And In Other Sporting News You Don't Care About

Manchester City Forward Robinho said in a radio interview that he wished to be traded to another team to insure more playing time. Robinho wants to play more because he feels he needs more exposure in the English Premiere League (or wherever he ends up playing) to cement his spot on the Brazilian World Cup team.

Now, I'm no expert on how the Brazilian roster is chosen, but I have to think that more playing time on a sub-par team is not the way to guarantee a main spot on a top World Cup contender who is known for their blistering offense. Also, Robinho might just be looking for more money out of Real Madrid or another big money European squad.

So, this could all be about Robinho being a bit of a jerk, as he has been in the past.

  1. Well, I don't know if you saw it, but he got his wish. He got loaned back to a Brazilian club, Santos, where he will get the playing time he wants, I guess. Of course, playing in the lower level Brazilian League as opposed to playing in the EPL, one of the best soccer leagues in the world, may hurt him more than it will help him, but you never know, I guess. Go Justine tonight!

  2. When did this become Bobby Bill's Sports Blog? And what happened to Musings 9 & 10? You cheated us, little brother.

  3. Sports are as much a part of my entertainment as is television, films, and books. I don't read that much that's recent (other than comic books) so I ignore the books (although if you can find Sherlock Holmes: The Unauthorized Biography by Nicholas Rennison, you should definitely read it).

With musings nine and ten (about how geeks have it good (sci-fi, comic book movies, blah blah) and how easy one gets "famous" now) I just kept putting them off until I felt it was too far into the year to finish it now, and I had partly forgotten everything I wanted to say anyways.

I'll probably revisit both of these subjects at some point...maybe... possibly... hell, I don't know. It's my blog and it's as subject to my change in moods and laziness as is my life as a whole.

    Deal with it.
